When we had puppies, we held them and cuddled them for eight weeks before they went to their new homes. It was very hard to part with them, which is why we decided to not breed again.
You might think of just keeping the one you are most attached to, but the vet bills for five kitties could be astronomical if they ever need attention --- so food and neutering are not the only expenses involved.
Your local Humane Society should be able to tell you about spay/neuter programs in your area which are not expensive.
