  • Wrapping Christmas presents...

I did all my Christmas shopping online. The Fedex man and the UPS guy know me by name, lol. Problem-now it's 4 days before Christmas and I haven't wrapped 1 thing. What am I gonna do? I was thinking about giving everyone a box cutter and and just putting the fedex and ups boxes under the tree but that doesn't sound very Christmas-y. I'm just feeling SO crap but I'm the one who did ALL the shopping so I'm the only one who knows what goes to who. Bleck, why does this have to happen at Christmas.

    Hi Katie,
I'm sorry you're feeling bleck for Christmas.
We don't celebrate Christmas, but we did have some gifts to wrap and mail, so I made a list of who got what, and then asked DH to wrap and prepare the packages for shipping. I even laid the cards for each person on the items they were getting. DH did a great job and everything got out on time . Couldn't have done it without him.
I hope you can get your stuff done and then enjoy the holiday.
    Feel better,
    Laurie

Gift bags with tissue is way faster than wrapping boxes! The Dollar Store for gift bags or Michaels plain red or green gift bags are the least expensive places for gift bags Can you filter out the labor & have your kids wrap your husband's gifts or each other's gifts? Bribery might work....

All excellent ideas! I just got all the crap out to wrap and realized I didn't have any name tags or tape. DH is going to bring those home and he told me he would help me. I knew he would, I just hate to ask him. I ALWAYS do it. But this year I just don't think I can. So, I'm just going to have to ask for help. I hate that.

I stayed home today to do exactly the same thing, plus wash and pack suitcase as we are going to family for a few days.
Not only did I wrap all of the stuff that I bought, but my husbands as well, as by the time he gets home from work, he won't really have time to do it (the only thing was, he wouldn't let me wrap the stuff that he got me!)
I did a mixture of gift bags and wrapping paper (our kids are grown up so I only wrap what I have to plus also my young nieces and nephews.
Went out to the car this afternoon, and thankfully the weather is getting a little cooler (last few days its been near 80 degrees; Christmas Eve and Christmas its suppose to be 50 or so.

                Oh Mary!!

You are SO much further along than I am. BUT I did get all the boxes opened today and everybodys stuff is in piles in my bathroom. So I've told the kids they are going to wrap each others presents and I'm going to wrap my husbands. I'm getting there, but right now I have a PILE of boxes in my bedroom. And my big dog is sleeping between the boxes and the door so I have to step over her to get out!! It's a zoo but hopefully it's getting better!! Have a wonderful Christmas!!!
