I've had Aloe Vera as house plants for 30-some years and never has one flowered before. I didn't even know they did that!
I first noticed the flower stem when it reached 8" of height, wondering, what the heck is that growing there?? When I realized what it must be I was almost giddy with anticipation. (How silly is that?) Oh boy, what will the flowers look like? I saw these beautiful blossoms in my mind.
So now it's 'there', in full bloom. Okay, it's a little disappointing, not the equivalent of some of the blossoms I saw in Hawaii.
I wish I knew why it flowered. If I did something to cause this?
