You're right Zig, winter, winter, mud, bug, ahhhhh, winter again. Those ahhhh months are the best. Gives us something to look forward to (if we could see out the windows, the snow is chest deep and the drifts need a ladder). -
I don't even know anyone up here who owns an air conditioner!
We're having our share of nutty weather as well. A good dumping of snow last week, then it's off to the deep freeze. (Had -16 on the thermometer) Now we're supposed to climb back to the low 30s with snow predicted every day right on through to next Sunday. Yee haw!
This time of the year we should be in the low to mid 40's, beginning break-up.Leave a comment:

Someone mentioned that they have 4 seasons (all Winter) here in austin, tx we have 4 seasons as well! (spring, summer, summer and spring). after the middle of this month we actually had our ac on. funny, we have the heater on in the early morning (usually have to turn it on before going to bed as about 4am it kicks on) and ac during the day (because if I don't its 85 degrees in the house when I get home from work.). I really hate to turn the ac on in Feb but if you got to you got to.Leave a comment:

woke up to white world
I would be happy if it could fall all year! Perfect.
Our weather here in No. Va. has been nutty. We've had days when the temps almost reached 80, and then the next day, we were back in the low 30's. Today we are suppposed to hit 60, with rain and high winds and chance of T-storms. Tomorrow, back to the low 30's again. At this point, nobody knows what the heck to wear!Leave a comment:

Our snow is almost gone, but it is COLD here this morning. I thought I would totally freeze walking down our 600-foot driveway to pick up our morning newspaper. BRRRRRRR
As I've said before, I WANT SUMMER AND I WANT IT NOW !!!!!!

Well all I can say is,..come on up! We have enough snowman making material to satisfy you to your heart's content! The melting part is unlikely though.
We had 6" inches yesterday on top of the 14" that fell the day before. Today it's still snowing, 9 degrees, and 24mph winds. -And I'm on my way to the shelter to walk dogs.Brr! I'm not as tough as I used to be!

The few times that we have had snow, (we had snow for the last 2 years. the first year it snowed all day long and you could see families out there building snow families! this last time, we did get a couple of inches but it quit mid morning.
Whenever it does snow they sand our area by where we live, but however they put too much sand on the roads which makes it even worse. (there is still some left and its been 2 weeks!)Leave a comment:

I like a good snow maybe 2-3 times a year, but then after a day or two, I am always ready for it to go away. We had way more snow this year than normal. As it stands now, the kids will be going to school even in the 2nd week of June b/c they have missed so many snow days. (They go back to school Aug 2nd or 3rd, so they will have a really short summer this year.)
But, one thing has made it a little more fun than usual is that we have a foriegn exchange student staying with us from Spain. He is 15 and he had never seen snow in person before. So, it was really fun to see his reaction to it. His twin sister is also a foriegn exchage student, but she is in Wisconsin. She liked the snow too (at first), but after about 2 weeks, she was sick of it too. She was really bummed because they never get snow days in Wisconsin since they have all the equipement to deal with it up there. So, she couldnt believe her brother was getting out every time you turn around for snow days!Leave a comment:

Woke up to a white world!
We usually get snow that sticks about once a year --- I guess this is the time! It's still snowing. I need to go out this morning, but only have to drive about three miles and not a high traffic area so not too bad. I'm glad I don't have to go to town today!
What I'd like is enough snow to build a snow man, then have it melt.
