Anyone read about Stephen Hawking's story. It is rather remarkable how well he lived his life with ALS. I'd say he is worse off than most with IC. Uncurable diseases cam be lived with. I think too many of us get caught up in cure chasing and stop focusing on living as fully as possible. I'm reading Eckhart Tolle A New Earth and it is a very good book about living in the now. One thing I've learned over the past year or so is to make friends with IC. I no longer suffer. Pain and illness are not choices. Suffering is a state of mind and is optional. I'd like a cure or a good treatment to relieve symptoms, but in the mean time I choose to live with the hand I have, be happy and live fully. I am blessed with a good job and lovely family.
