  • What are you doing for Labor Day weekend?

What's everyone up to this weekend? I am sooooo in need of a few days off work! I am looking forward to spending time with my husband, son, sister, nephews, and nieces! My sister's family recently moved into town and it's the first time in years I've had family live nearby.
I also got an invite to go camping in Big Sur. I'm not sure yet if we'll go.

We plan to stay pretty close to home. We'll just be cooking outside and probably swimming. Later in the month we plan to spend a few days on the beach, but too much traffic on a holiday weekend.

        I want Briza's weekend!!!

For me? A low key weekend. Time with friends, a new class at church and worship service, some grocery shopping & cooking, and, sadly, some work to take home... (Sniff, sniff - minor pity party. Ok, got it out of my system. I'm ok now...)

Hope everyone has a fun & relaxing weekend!

Took off Friday (have some vacation time that I would lose if I don't use it in the next month (I work for the state and our fiscal year started on Sept. 1; have till the end of the month so I am taking 3 day weekends till end of month). This Friday, I shampooed and vacuum my living/dining room rugs; going to have my son vacuum the rest of the house on Sunday afternoon. I also mop floors and change sheets. Today I went to the store and the laudrymat to wash rugs--sounds like an exciting weekend right? I still got to do a few snatches of cleaning but than Monday I can rest and look at my clean house and wonder how long it will stay clean!
Its still too hot here to do anything outside; even though we are going to be getting cooler weather this week. My son's and husband has to work for most of the weekend. So its just me and Emzy (my dog--she is laying at my feet on her blanket here in the computer/junk room).
