  • What's Your favorite feel good movie?

I love Sister Act 2 for feeling good.

I think a lot of us use distraction when in pain and I sure don't want to see some tear-jerker in that state. Let's get some recommendations together. What's your fav?

My all time favorite is "Gone With the Wind". I also love almost every Bette Davis movie. (I love the old movies!)

For newer stuff, "Meet the Parents" and the sequal were hilarious. I also thought "Big Daddy" was cute and funny. (Even though these are still a few years old.)

I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.

I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Proud wifey of Shane, mommy to Griffin, and step-mom to Logan and Gage
Also proud mom to the best Bullmastiff on earth, Claus

I LOVE old movies too. So Bette Davis fits in that category. Have you ever seen 'Now Voyager"? OMG that's a great movie. Jog my memory, what are some of your fav Bette movies?

hmm, it's working now...I LOVE Chicago too. I have the sound track so I go either way w/ it. When I am able to be up cleaning a bit it's a fun one to clean to LOL.

I like a very broad range of oldies and particularly love Cary Grant's older ones....how about Bringing Up Baby?:-) I've seen it a million times. I'm a major Jimmy Stewart fan too. What are some other Cary Grant films you like?

It's great to be reminded of ones that are so good, I own Beetleguise and the first Bridget Jones. And it's good to get other recommendations, I don't know a few people have listed.

Lately I'm sticking w/ light fare. I have a VERY broad range in movie tastes from Lars Von Trier films and Atom Egoyan to Frank Capra and musicals as silly as Oklahoma! I LOVE musicals. Fred and Ginger, Top Hat and Gay Divorcee, can't be beat.

I think one of the best films ever made was High Noon. I only saw it for the first time a few years ago and was blown away. I also LOVE children's movies, Little Mermaid, Totoro by Miyazaki.
