Heck's Kitchen, anyone?

It's one of my guilty pleasures, so to speak, but I really like "Heck's Kitchen" on Fox. The new season just got off to a start. Is anyone else watching? My hubby says he doesn't like it, but I watched it without him this week and he immediately asked, "Who got kicked off?" It sort of sucks you in. Gordon Ramsey can be a jerk and yells a lot, but I still like it. This season I was impressed with how he handled one contestant who was really struggling emotionally and physically. He was compassionate and careful with the guy instead of just yelling at him.

But I love the show.. yes hes a JERK!!! But look what he gives away at the end..I dont think these people have to endure anymore than any of the other shows like Survivor or Biggest Looser..

Who's your favorite on this seasons show?

Right now I'm liking Rock. THat could change, though. I tend to do that sometimes. I also like the lady who works at Waffle House. I can't remember her name. I'm sort of a root for the underdog kind of a person. I think people are short changing her because she isn't fine dining, but it seems to me like she's really working hard.

I couldn't believe the one girl who got the spaghetti out of the trash, though! Or the one who served spoiled crab.

Oh my hubby and I love that show. Ramsey is such a a**hole. He is so rude, but he is funny. I dont know how these people can stand him yelling at them like that and degrading them.
I also thought the girl who took the spagetti out of the trash was nasty! But I think Ramsey made the right choice on who to bounce. Food poisoning is a major thing and that could have killed someone.

I also like Julia. She is the girl who works in the breakfast/waffle restaurant.
I do not like the snobby girls who think she should go because of where she works. I think she has the drive and determination.

I was sorry to see that Chef Ramsey kept Aaron for as long as he did. In the past, he has overridden the nominations of who should go. He should have done that last week. Eddie may not have been great, but Aaron did not contribute at all to his team, and could not function at all. I wonder why Chef Ramsey was so patient with him, yet has yelled at similar contestants in the past.

Yup Waffle House girl is my favorite... Guess because my mom worked there for so long and made a good living for us when I was a kid

I LOVE THE SHOW!!! I missed last Monday's, my son had a baseball game.

OK, I hope this makes sense, but here goes.

Aaron left because he fainted during one of the challenges. He went to the hospital. They didn't say exactly what was wrong, just that the doctor wouldn't let him come back.

The breakfast service for the armed forces went really well for the women - especially with the Waffle House girl leading the team. Ramsey actually sent her over to help the men's side once the women's side was finished. The women's reward was to go on a helicopter ride to an aircraft carrier.

Dinner service was bad for both sides, as usual. The girls were exceptionally bad. One was cooking with spoiled crabmeat and another picked spaghetti out of the top of the trash and cleaned it off. Ramsey didn't even pick a winner from their team and made them all pick who would be up for elimination. They decided it should be the spoiled crabmeat girl and the Waffle House girl because she just didn't know enough about fine dining. (Puh-lease!) The trashed spaghetti girl jumped in at the last minute and threw herself in. Ramsey said the Waffle House girl was safe. He ended up sending home the spoiled crabmeat girl.

I think that's about it. As usual, there was also lots of yelling and at least one person got called a "dunk-ey!"

Yup thats about it lol.. I cant think of spoiled crabmeat girls name, but shes the one at the beginning that thought she knew it all and was really bossy..

I'm looking forward to watching tonight, too! Fortunately we do have a DVR, so that helps. Otherwise I'd never see anything. We're going to my inlaws this evening for a birthday party. We each have a dog from the same litter and today is their second birthday! My MIL made them a doggie birthday cake and everything.

Anyway, when we get back, I'll be ready for watching Ramsey and the "dunkeys!"

Oh Stacey ... dont you love the DVR...lol I would miss so much if we didnt have it.. really didnt realize how much I was missing..lol So funny about things like that.. Like our cell phones..When I was growing up. I didnt even know what a cell phone was, now my kids couldnt live without thiers.. and to be honest I panick when they dont answer..lol Geesh what did our moms ever do..lol

I know. Technology is wonderful! My mom was a VCR junkie then I finally talked her into Tivo a couple of years ago and she's sold. We had Tivo from early on. We just switched this year to DirectTV and the DVR that comes with it so we could actually use the high definition on our HD TV we got for Christmas a few years ago! My hubby is a technophile. When he first mentioned Tivo when it came out, I thought it was too much money. We got it as a gift. A year or two later, it went out when our phone line got struck by lightning. I was so hooked by that point, that I took money we were saving for something else and we went to buy a Tivo that night!
