My kitty, Tucker. I adopted him last summer when he was only two pounds... He's a little bit bigger now
**I could have my long list of current medications and diagnoses and the other medications that I've tried, but I'm going to focus on something more: words that inspire and motivate me to keep my head up and keep fighting.**
"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song."
"The honorary duty of a human being is to love." "The main thing in one's own private world is to try to laugh as much as you cry."
"If you find it in your heart to care for somebody else, you will have succeeded. " "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain. "
"The most called-upon prerequisite of a friend is an accessible ear. "
These are all the wise words of my hero: Maya Angelou
IC Volunteers are not medical authorities nor do we offer medical advice. In all cases, we strongly encourage you to discuss your medical treatment with your personal medical care provider. Only they can, and should, give medical recommendations to you.
I absolutely LOVE the pic of him playing with all of your meds. (I assume they're yours...) My Ruby does that sometimes. However, she's more apt to go for her own medication and try to hide it places. She has nasal allergies, which gives her congestion and we have a standing prescription for cat antihistimines. She knows which bottle is hers and I've caught her a number of times going for it. I've also found it under the couch, behind the washer/dryer, in boxes........
04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.
