Quite funny! And I can relate..haha...Last Friday we walked out the house and proceeded to the car only for my husband to say "do you have your keys?"..uhmmmm nooo!..So there we were, locked out of our house. Fortunately our neighbor was awake and drove the husband up to my sons work to retrieve a house key. The following day my husband once again, locked himself out of the house; i'm still wondering why I let him back in! Last year, the same scenario, only there wasnt another key to be found. Breaking down two doors finally got us inside! Nevermind the cost of replacing those doors!
I suppose we have to laugh at ourselves for being momentarily absent-minded..
That is pretty funny. I did something similar when I was living in an apartment in MD. My future hubby and I were standing out on the patio smoking a cig (we quit this past August) and we closed the sliding glass door too hard and it locked itself. My roommate wasn't home and we couldn't get back in that way. Luckily we were on the first floor so I had to walk around to the front of the building and keep on buzzing people until someone would finally let me back in to the building, thank god I didn't have the front door locked to or I would have been really screwed.
It's one of those things where when it happened it sucked but now it's quite commical!!! No hard feelings... it's another story for me n my friend laugh about.
geesh, that is something I would do. so sorry you got locked out, but glad you got back in.. once I locked my keys in my car running.. and it had a key pad on the door. I had no clue what the combo was. oopsss..
Ok so I am house sitting and watching my co-workers dog shay. I was really scared last night around 10:30 and my girlfriend called me. She told me if I wanted she would come visit me. (my co-worker said it was ok to have her over and my bf) Amanda came over around 10:45 and we were playing with shay, then he ran to the door and starting barking... He had to poop or pee so I put his leash on and told Amanda to come with me. I didnt bring my cell phone of my keys. We stepped out the door and shay did his stuff. Amanda looked at me with a big smirk on her face. She said "Ummm Rach, Did you bring the key??" I said no why.. she said cuz the door is locked!!!! She always jokes around with me... I didn't believe her and told her to stop joking and it's not funny. She looked at me scared and said NO Rach were locked out of the house, and it's COLD!! I swear to god I was so upset. I started to cry and didnt know what to do. All the doors were locked and the windows. Her garage has a key pad but I didn't know the combination and I didnt have a cell phone to call my co-worker. amanda had a bright idea to go to a neighbor's house and ask to use their phone. We walked to the only house with lights on... (it was like 11:30pm) A women answered the door and I explained everything and invited Me, Amanda and Shay into her house. I felt soooo bad... not to mention this women had a new born baby. (4 weeks old) I called me co-worker and she didnt answer so I left a message. About 5 minutes later she called their house and I answered. She was histerically laughing at me! She thought it was so funny! (she's like my mom so I knew she wouldnt be mad.) she finally stoped laughing and told me the password for the garage. I thanked the neighbors and started to walk out the door. The lady said "umm what's that?? I think shay's got something in his mouth!" While I was on the phone he picked up a little toy ball and thought he could get away with stealing this toy! haha It was priceless. He wouldnt let it go.. It was like I was a scene from a movie last night I swear. We finally got into the house at about 12am! It took forever to calm shay down.
What and eventful night! Whew I'm tired and didn't sleep much last night. Funny huh??
