Mary, I was kindly told that things change again and you weren't able to keep the kittens after all. I did not realize it please forgive me for the mistake. I was going to just delete it but then I did not know if you already read it or not. I am so sorry, I know this must really been hard on you after getting so attached to the little ones. I hope you can find good homes for them and that this can give you some comfort.

    So sorry Mary,
    Sending many hugs, Trishann

    Yay!!

So cute!! Blessed be the kitties!! Thank God for good people and good morale still existing in the new millenium. May we always treasure such precious blessings!! I am sending you a little prayer because, well I think I just wanted an excuse to use this one really...

(From: Prayers By: Sylvia Browne pg. 50)

Prayer for animals: "Dearest Christ-consciousness and Mother and Father God, please protect all living things. Protect all the animals of this planet. Allow them to live with love and peace. Keep them safe from persecution and experimentation. Keep them from being cold and abandoned. Help the world to understand that this is all part of Your creation. Make humanity understand that we must all live in harmony. Amen."

    Mary,

I am sorry that you cant keep them. I know how attached you have gotten to them. I know it will be hard to part with them, because I have had to do it several times when pregnant cats were dropped on our farm and then I had to find homes for all the kittens. (I never could keep them b/c soon another cat would be dropped and we would have too many. And while it is hard to find good homes for kittens, it isnt impossible, but finding a home for a grown cat IS pretty much impossible, as everyone that wants a cat usually wants a kitten.)

I know you dont believe me right now, but the pain will lessen after a while. It will be easier on you if you find them homes with people who you know, that way you can visit them. Or, you may end up making new friends with the potential owners and they may welocme you to visit the kittens that they take.

You have been in their life so far for a reason. They came into this world in a loving enviornment and have recieved love and care from you that will enable them to reciprocate the love that their future owners will offer them.

Whomever asks for a kitten is most likely doing so because they have a loving home and they want to extend that love to a pet. If they didnt want to be bothered with one, they wouldnt ask for one. For the very few out there that might seek a pet for the wrong reasons, you will be able to screen those out with careful questioning. You are in charge of where they go and where they dont.

You have given them the best possible start in life that you can give them. I hope your heart will be comforted by that and by being able to continue to have Patches there to love and nurture. She still needs you to mother her. (No one is EVER too old or too big to be "mothered.)

Sending hugs of comfort to you,
    Amy

My first question for you is are you on Disability or any Federal things...ie food stamps, medicad. Here in Texas there is a program that is just for that and you can get your pet fixed. The catch is that it is first come first serve.

Its called Paws I believe here in Texas. It is something to consider if you really want to keep them.

The other thing is on the shots....you can do that yourself really. You go to the "feed store" ....not trying to be rude....but do u know what that is? Some people don't if they are city people lol But go to the "feed store" and they have the shots there. I gave my puppies those shots and it is a 8 n 1. The only 1 that i did not give the pups was the rabies one.

Just thought I would pass it along to you. Take care and good luck

started a topic I CAN keep the little monsters after all

I CAN keep the little monsters after all

I know I just posted I couldn't keep the kittens due to the cost of shots and getting them fixed. After reading a reply from Donna on one of my other posts to call the Humane society I decided to give it one more try. had called before the kittens were born and the woman told me they don't do shots or operations or anything for the animals. Called today and got another woman. Asked her if there was some place I could take the kittens for their shots and to be fixed that wouldn't be so expensive. She said come in and fill out "...." form. Can't remember the name of it and had no clue what it was. She said they have a program for people who can't afford to take their pets to the vet. It goes by your income. If all you can afford is $10 for their service then that is all you pay. So, I can keep the kittens!!:woohoo: :woohoo: All I have to do now is Thursday or Friday drive up and fill out the paper work. It's a 40 minutes drive one way but that is fine with me. Things have been looking so bad since Saturday between the bladder and the kittens. I was starting to feel like why bother with anything. anymore. I am so glad I didn't give up and kept on trying. I am soo happy now.
