Hello everyone, unfortunately I am back with another awful flare. I had a follow up with Dr. Evans (from the list of good IC docs!) and he seems to be happy with my current state, though he suspects I have Fibromyalgia and/or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome , so definitely staying on Amitryptiline, but after the visit I got this awful flare, went to urgent care and they prescribed macrobid and they found blood, lovely. Well I finished the antibiotics last week and I’m flaring again. Pyridium is helping but I’ve never had to take it this many days in a row, and as soon as it wears off I’m hurting again. I do notice that I flare every menstrual cycle, so perhaps when it’s over this long flare will end? I hope so. Has anyone else had a flare last over 2 weeks?

    current meds
    -DH Aloe Vera
    -Amitryptiline
    -Pyridium (as needed)
    -antihistamines daily

Do you have another appointment soon with Dr. Evans? If not, I suggest giving his office a call to see if they can get you in to see him. I hope you don't have Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue --- either can be difficult to deal with and hard to treat.

Have you made any changes recently? I hope you feel better soon.

      Warm hugs,
      Donna

Thank you Donna! Unfortunately no, he said I could see him in a year, as I was doing so well after adding the Aloe/Pelvic floor physical therapy. And he’s booked out for months. If I don’t feel better soon, I might see about getting an instillation at a nearby urology clinic?

I think that would be a good idea --- and if instillations help, you might want to consider learning to do them at home. And please let me know how you are doing.
