  • DH aloe vera??

After hearing all the good things people were saying about desert harvest aloe vera capsules, I decided to buy them. I took DH aloe vera (3 in the am, 3 in the pm) for 6 days, but had to stop because I was having the worst urgency and frequency in my life! It was worse than any flare up I've ever had. I don't have a lot of bladder pain associated with my IC, and if I do, it is pretty mild pain. My biggest symptoms have always been urgency and frequency. I feel like I have to pee all day, everyday. And taking the aloe vera capsules made those symptoms soooo much worse! So does aloe vera only work for bladder pain?? not the urgency/frequency issues?? I read on their website about how a small percentage of customers can have detox reactions for the first few days on aloe vera, But I wasn't having those types of reactions (fever, chills, nausea, etc.). It was just the worst urgency and frequency of my life to date! Thanks in advance!

    to the IC Network.

Did you feel better after stopping? You might want to consider starting with a smaller dose to see if that works for you. Are you following the IC diet? Is there anything else you ingested that is different for you? Fever, chills and nausea aren't always reaction symptoms --- it could be discomfort, frequency, or pain, etc.

I think I would talk with my doctor.
