GABAPENTIN - has anyone taken this?

I have fibro aswell as IC and the doc wants to put me on gabapentin - he said you might see some improvement in your IC aswell as it has been used in the past! Has anyone ever been on this and what did you experience?

Gabapentin is also known as neurontin I think.

Hi Von. I was on Neurontin for about 18 months . Yes, it helped me with my ic BUT it also caused me to gain weight.In less that 9 months I gained 40 lbs. I went off the drug and have now lost the weight. So, be careful.
