Hi gals, looks like everyone is having a great Valentine's day. Hubbys are great Jess, I agree, mine is cooking dinner, I had a beautiful mushy card, the two little bears that kiss and she blushes, a stuffed dog and a new mug in pink with a big heart on it, so I cannot complain at all, he is definitely a keeper and I love him to pieces, even after 38 years. Betsie, the book you are reading is excellent, have read it, there is also a follow up book to that, have got it, but not read it yet. Cindy and Jess, new rings, sound like they are both beautiful. Hope that the day is going well for everyone, Happy Valentine hug for each of you, love Iris.

Tonight we're going out for a romantic dinner for two, but that's about it because I am in a flare. Hubby came home yesterday with a big bouquet of pink roses (my favorite) and a huge teddy bear that says "Love" on the center...and then the year 2004 on the foot...to commemorate our first V-Day as a married couple...well kind of...last year does count I guess? I don't know. For our anniversary he bought me a diamond anniversary band that matches my engagement ring very well. Also got some Hershey's Pot of Gold chocolates...how sinister!!! Hehe. Hubbys are so great.

    Happy V-Day!!!

Congrats to those with anniversaries! And hugs to everyone for Valentine's Day!

Last night my sweetie and I went to a jazz club (one of the most romantic places in the city!) Tonight I'm cooking a special dinner and we're going to the movies.

I love valentines day .My husband and I have been toether for almost 30 years (highschool sweethearts) and I swear I love him more now than I did when I was a moonstruck 15 year old. I want to cook him a good dinner for valentines day. I haven't been able to cook for awhile now and I know he's missimg my good home cooking. I don't care if it takes me all day to do it! Tomorrow I'm frying chicken, mashing potatoes ,making gravy and cooking bisquits!! I do feel blessed.

Even after being married almost 32 years, my sweetie brought me a gorgeous plant for Valentines day.

I wish the smilies were here --- I'd put in a whole row of big smiles.

Happy Valentine's Day! It's great to read everyone's stories!!

Congratulations Jess!!!! It's our first married Valentine's Day too, and hubby came home from work today with a dozen gorgeous long-stem roses!! Wasn't it exciting to get the "husband" cards this year? We're going out for dinner tomorrow night too, courtesy of my students who got my husband and I a gift certificate to a very nice restaurant. I love this place...funky, great live jazz band, GREAT food... and looking forward to a romantic evening!

    Lots of hugs to everyone!

    Love,
    Alexa

Congrats on your first year of marriage, Jess!!

And go, Brat and Dixie's dhs on lovely gifts.

Dh and I agreed to no gifts this year, and I hope he really sticks to it this year because we are moving next month and don't need any extra expense. We have a babysitter for V-day so we might go out to eat, although all I really want to do is just stay home and watch a DVD.

I know I am not going to have to cook dinner, but I do not know what else is in store. He told me today, if I am good, I am going to get a nice surprise, so I am being very good today, just made his some of his favorite brownies.I will find out tomorrow. I like surprises, he is always full of those. Smiles Iris.

I have planned on cooking a special dinner for the family. because I know we can't get a babysitter on Valentine's day and there is no way on God's green earth i would leave my children with Jeff's mother. ggggggrrrrrrrrr they have pushed me over the limit.
but either way i hope dinner comes out great and everything i eat agrees with my bladder. LOL )
