  • Prayers are starting to pay off!!!

    Hello All !
I am on my second day with no pain meds!!!!! I think the Elmiron is starting to work and the pelvic floor exercises too! I can't believe I am sitting on a u shaped pillow and typing this. I have hope again!!! The pain I was in was soooo excrutiating and depressing and today I can still feel it but not so intense! Yesterday I took my elmiron as usual and pyridium. It is 11 am here and no meds yet today. Curlyfries is CELEBRATING!!!!! Over a year of horrible pain and I was really losing hope and now.......Hope in abundance!!!! Oh please GOD let this continue.
    Love and Prayers to all!
All my hobbies & plans for my life have come to a screeching halt in this past year and the next looks pretty bleak! But I know GOD has a plan for me or I wouldn't be here. Just like all of you! That's what keeps me waking up each day even though I don't want to face another day of screeming pain. I will Garden again. I will Knit & Crochet and do all the Creative things that are stuck in my head again. I want to go camping & fishing. GOD BLESS US ALL INDEED! This is my cat Mikey, only Mikey is black with faint reddish brown stripes. You can only see his stripes when the light shines on him a certain way. He is blessed too!

*Diagnosed with severe IC in 2004
*Also diagnosed with PFD, fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain, IBS, migraines, allergies/asthma, dermatographism
*Kept trying a million different treatments for all these things until I found what works, and I am doing okay these days with the help of a cocktail of medications and the InterStim, which was first placed in 2007. [I have had 2 revisions - one in 2010 when my battery died and had to be replaced, and one complete replacement (lead and generator) in 2012 after a fall on my stairs caused my lead to move.]
*Current meds include Atarax (50mg at night), Lyrica (150mg twice a day), Xanax (0.5mg at night and as needed), Zanaflex (4mg at night), hydrocodone (10/325, every 6 hours as needed), Advair, Nasonex, Singulair (10mg at night), oral contraceptives, home instills containing Elmiron and Marcaine (as often as I need to do them).

**I am not a medical authority nor do I offer definitive medical advice. I strongly encourage you to discuss your medical treatment with your personal medical care provider. Only they can, and should, give medical recommendations to you.
