  • Books on IC?

NO idea where to post this. But I am looking for some ready material on IC, and saw that there are several books available through this site, and I was wondering if anyone has read any of those books, or any other kind of book related to IC. I am interested in learning as much about this disease as possible. Thank you!

I read the Amrit Willis book on healing IC naturally and found it very helpful.
The title is "Solving the IC Puzzle: My Story of Healing and Recovery."

I think the best book on IC is The Interstitial Cystitis Survival Guide by Dr. Robert Moldwin. You can get it at the ICN shop.

I have the Robert Moldwin book and C ******'s first two. Would love to buy Amrit's as well. I would also recommend some Candida control books as this problem (systemic, intestinal, or vaginal) can mimic some symptoms of IC.

It's interesting and informative to look and compare all the different treatments and theories contained in this mix of conventional and alternative books.
8/2007 - My constant bladder pain is now gone due to a surgery where the ilioinguinal and iliohypogastic nerves were cut. I still have IC symptoms but they are improving. It's still early to say, but I believe this solution will work permanently for me.

Symptoms since 2005 - 24/7 abdominal pain, cold sweats, low back pain, vulv, etc.
Surgeries: Spinal Fusion L4-L5-S1 10/97, Anterior spinal fusion L5-S1 9/05, Lap for Cysts, Endo 9/06, Hysterectomy kept cervix 12/06
Meds: Morphine, Neurontin, Valium, Hydroxyzine, Vivelle Estrogen, Thyroid,
Exercise & PT: All at least 4 times a week
Whirlpool baths, Moist heat, Treadmill, Stretching, Trigger point, Yoga Positions; Ab & Pelvic Massage

Robert Moldwin's, "The Interstitial Cystitis Survival Guide" is, I believe, a must for all IC patients. I've had diagnosed IC for 32 years and I still look things up there.
