  • Hey Everyone! Surgery Tomorrow!

Yes, surgery to lift my bladder and bowel tomorrow morning! I hope this works! At least I got docs to listen and do something about this problem. The Elmiron seems to be taking the edge off the IC finally. That took a long time to work, 6 - 8 months.
Wish me luck in the OR and my prayers are with you all to be pain free.
All my hobbies & plans for my life have come to a screeching halt in this past year and the next looks pretty bleak! But I know GOD has a plan for me or I wouldn't be here. Just like all of you! That's what keeps me waking up each day even though I don't want to face another day of screeming pain. I will Garden again. I will Knit & Crochet and do all the Creative things that are stuck in my head again. I want to go camping & fishing. GOD BLESS US ALL INDEED! This is my cat Mikey, only Mikey is black with faint reddish brown stripes. You can only see his stripes when the light shines on him a certain way. He is blessed too!

    Diagnosed with IC 1996
Prolapsed bladder & bowel (2nd time)
    Fibromyalgia 1991
    Meds: ELMIRON
DILAUDID (Only if I have to cuz they make me shake)
    PYRIDIUM (Freezes bladder lining)
    OXAZEPAM (Night)

My mother-in-law just had bladder and uterine surgery to lift her bladder. She had a painful bladder for almost a year and felt 50% better and now is 100% 10 weeks later. She now eats what she wants, except for coffee and soda, and feels bladder issue free. I pray for the same outcome for you. My prayers and blessings are with you!

I hope it all went well!! Let us know as soon as you are able to how things went

*Diagnosed with severe IC in 2004
*Also diagnosed with PFD, fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain, IBS, migraines, allergies/asthma, dermatographism
*Kept trying a million different treatments for all these things until I found what works, and I am doing okay these days with the help of a cocktail of medications and the InterStim, which was first placed in 2007. [I have had 2 revisions - one in 2010 when my battery died and had to be replaced, and one complete replacement (lead and generator) in 2012 after a fall on my stairs caused my lead to move.]
*Current meds include Atarax (50mg at night), Lyrica (150mg twice a day), Xanax (0.5mg at night and as needed), Zanaflex (4mg at night), hydrocodone (10/325, every 6 hours as needed), Advair, Nasonex, Singulair (10mg at night), oral contraceptives, home instills containing Elmiron and Marcaine (as often as I need to do them).

**I am not a medical authority nor do I offer definitive medical advice. I strongly encourage you to discuss your medical treatment with your personal medical care provider. Only they can, and should, give medical recommendations to you.
