  • I Lost My Symptoms - Too Much

I've had IC for over 20 years. Now I notice that, where it used to burn to have any urine in my bladder, I don't feel it at all. Since I don't get a sensation to pee, I end up hodling it without knowing. Then it really hurts to go. Could this be from too many DMSO's? I think I have an infection because of it. What do you think?

I think you need to see your doctor. How long have you been treated with DMSO? How much was it diluted? When using DMSO it's important that the solution be only 25% DMSO.

      Hi Donna

It was a 50% solution. I know thats high. I had asked and she said that what they have always used and it works good. I have is every 2 weeks for 12 weeks but that was last January (2020).

I'll call in the morning. Thanks

Usually the brand name for DMSO is Rimso 50, which is 50% DMSO --- it is usually diluted with a sterile water solution before being instilled. I suggest you read the information at http://www.ic-network.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22386

DMSO helped me for several years.
