I'm not exactly sure if I have IC but I know I have had the symptoms of it before. This is my first time posting and I am glad to see others are able to share their experiences even though I know it must be difficult.
Well I am a 25 year old male with ED, some type of PFD, and urinary retention. I do believe I suffer now from fibromyalgia symptoms as well. The problems began about 4 years ago at age 21 and they persist today though it's hard to tell exactly what's going on. After reading some others' stories I feel blessed I am not in worse pain. I have seen 3 different urologists and gotten 3 different answers, the last doctor I saw managed to tell me there was nothing wrong with me, which was incredibly discouraging when I know exactly what's going on with me. When I go to the restroom it usually takes me 30 seconds - 1 minute before I get my stream going. Once I do go it's fine, but to have that problem along with sexual dysfunction is very disheartening and has made my anxiety go through the roof at times. I'm not sure if one is a product of the other, but I know it's not good either way. I will say I am in good spirits, because there was a time with this when I was suicidal and I've come a long way since that. I don't know if I'll get the answers I'm looking for here (I've done a lot of research just trying to get an idea of what's going on). I've looked into alternative medicine to potentially approach my problem but hopefully just sharing this will be a start. I'm getting tired of the doctors that don't understand what is going on with me.
