  • Maybe there is nothing wrong with my bladder

Is it possible? After almost 4 months of pain, frustration, ER visits, CAT scans, and going from family physician to urologist to OBY-GYN, living on pain killers and the IC diet, the only diagnosis I got was for trigonitus of the bladder. Finally someone sent me for a pelvic ultrasound and there it was...a great big grapefruit sized ovarian cyst pushing down on my bladder. I have to have surgery to have it removed and my doctors are now pretty sure that it will relieve my urinary urgency/frequency, and that horrible painful feeling of something being in the rectum (I don't even have a rectum after having my colon removed 17 yrs ago). Hopefully it will take care of it, and for all of you out there going thru this...please have them check with a pelvic ultrasound! I had a CAT scan and several doctors looked at it and no one saw this huge mass.
I'll let you know in a few months!

Oh my- It's good you had the ultra sound done. My uro/gyno wasn't going to do one but I talked her into it. So glad I did.

No, not a thing. Almost wished it had, if you know what I mean. Then I could say - "Oh, that's the reason for all this."
