Prelief
Hi,
I find Prelief very helpful with foods that might cause a problem. Even if I'm going to eat something that is in the bladder friendly list,if I have any doubt all, I take Prelief with it. For me,Prelief is a bit constipating, but I feel it's worth it.

Prelief doesn't give me a free pass to eat anything I want, but if something is questionable, I do think it helps avoid irritation.

I have found that Prelief can be helpful, but you need to know one thing: Prelief only works on acidity! It will not work if you are trying to neutralize non-acid irritants like caffeine or msg. I can have ketchup with my fries using prelief, or pasta with a small amount of tomato sauce. I haven't been brave enough to try anything really "bad", like hot sauce or lemonade. Maybe someday.

I use it when I eat out in restaurants, I think it helps with the little "hidden" acids in foods like breads, etc. I still stick to the IC diet though when eating out.Kadi

Is this Prelief available in Canada? If it's what I'm thinking it is, I believe it has been discontinued over here. I sure hope it's not what I'm thinking.
I am just miserable and having a really tough time. I have cut out all coffee and tea (except Peppermint..thanks Donna) no more apples, or vinegar on salad (w/o tomatoes) and I'm still climbing the walls in pain!!!Canadian daisy

You can order in Canada.. I have in the past with np and they are very quick with the order...
They have one in Lasalle Ontario and one in Lake shore Ontario...and I have the phone numbers if you want them..
It has been a while since I ordered mine but I assume they still are doing it..When I ordered they had a deal on.. order 3 bottles and you don't have to pay for shipping..
Good luckGod brought me to it, He will bring me through it!!!

I really wonder why they don't sell it all over in Canada like they do in the US, it's not like we can even get it as a rx here. Thanks for the info about where you can buy it in Canada. When I was looking for it to buy it nobody had even heard of it.
MGMyare with you all. May you all find a way to peace and joy in your lives.

It is because of the name I think-- we have some med that is named almost the same maybe relief or something.. The folks in Ont. just import it..When I ordered mine I got it very quickly..I phoned my order in ..it was great dealing with them... I sure hope they continue to do that!God brought me to it, He will bring me through it!!!

Hi!
The ICN Shop (which you can click on at the top of this page) sells Prelief and ships to Canada. There is also a pharmacist from the states who has a health food store in Ontario who mail orders to all of Canada. His telephone number is 519-972-8696.
We have submitted Prelief to Health Canada in the past, but Health Canada feels that the name Prelief implies a drug and they do not have a category for us. Prelief is an over-the-counter supplement, not a drug and we do not want to change the name. Hopefully, Prelief will someday be available in Canada; there are so many Canadian IC patients who depend on Prelief and who would like it to be available there.

Hello all,
Well I placed an order on here and I'm going to try the smallest bottle (150 pills for 12.99) instead of buying the 300 pills at the store in Lasalle (39.99). I need to find out IF it willl even be any help before I spend that money! I also ordered the Decaf acid free coffee and the instant one as well and a delcious vanilla tea. I went and did some shopping this weekend and guess what I found at a local Bulk food store? Yup, you geussed..the instant coffee for only 4.99. Lol..oh well. The cost of the items at the ic store isn't bad at all..it's the shipping that made me choke! Sheesh...lolCanadian daisy
