  • Please... I need help.

Hello! I am new to this form.
I am 45 and I've been having pelvic pain which around lower labia majora and
leg ( clutch? ) which close to the vagina after I had bladder infection.
( I had labia itchy whole last year but not any more )
also I was having urinary frequency till last month ( up to 20) sometimes which only 50cc each time sometime like 220cc.
now I go to the Bath room once a 3-4 hour and I can hold up to 300cc.
but I am still having labia majora pain and the leg pain,
the leg pain is really bad so I can't wear underwear because the ratex hurts.

    Urination doesn't hurt at all.

I've been seeing to urologist last year , I had test cystoscopy and biopsy.
also urine test. all come back negative expect I have micro scopic blood in my urine.

Dr sent my urine to big lab to see where the blood come from.
the result is it from kidney.
so I went to see kidney specialist.
I had lot test....but all result is negative. nothing wrong with my kidney.
then I went to see OBGYN ,I found out that I have fibroids.
however my OBGYN think the fibroids doesn't cause the pelvic ( include the labia
    and leg ) pain.
I had urinary frequency and labia pain( like burning feel) last month
at same time I had pain at my right side of waist and back.
also same time my finger got swollen ( edama)

so I went to see my primaru care Dr, had blood test and urine test.
the result is all negative expect micro blood in my urine.

now. I don't have the urinary frequency and edama .
no more side of waist pain. however I still having burning pain at my labia
esp when I am sitting on the chair.stand up is less pain.
also my pelvic is pain when I lay down with tammy down.

now my question is that is there anybody IC who is having
pelvic pain esp around labia majora and leg pain ( near the vagina)?

Iit's has been almost a year and I am still not diagnosed
    it's really makes me depressed.

please give me any advice or please share story if anybody having same pain.

thank you very much for reading.

PS. I had blood test for SLE /thyroid/ hormon too.
also had kidney / blodder /uritis ultra sound
( 2 times in past 3 month) seeing 4 times OBGYN in past 3 month.
there is no any bump or red skin... with my pelvic.
also having sex does not give me pain .
no any blood ( even micro blood) with my stool.

I am so sorry for you. I hope you begin to feel better soon.
I also have microscopic blood in my urine, and I have had for at least 6 months, sometimes it is even visible. My pain is pretty constant, but it gets awful sometimes I feel like something has exploded. Many of the people who post on here talk about vaginal irritation and pain in the labia, I just get itches sometimes (I think my urine or having to wipe with tp irritates the skin), I think in time it may get painful, but I have been trying to dab instead of wiping, but old habits...
Anyway, I didn't really mean to get caught up in my story, I just wanted to say, you are in the right place, these forums have some of the most supportive and understanding people. My condition hasn't really changed, but the knowledge that I am not the only one, and that others have found relief with treatments, medication, and diet modification. I hope that you find reading through these boards comforting and therapeutic, don't worry when you read through others struggles, people in pain post more than people who are back to feeling well and on with their lives. (This is the case on almost any forum for medical conditions). Find a good doctor, I am still working on this. Good luck, I am sending healing thoughts your way.

First of all, uterine fibroids usually begin to shrink at around your age --- and since your doctor knows about them and isn't concerned, unless they are really bothering you I wouldn't worry about them.

You might want to consider the possibility that your burning is a "contact" irritation caused by anything from soap to toilet tissue. Some things you might try are to avoid putting soap there when showering, double rinse underpants (plain white, 100% cotton), plain white, unscented, toilet tissue (blot, don't wipe the urethral area).

You might also want to give the IC diet a try. Whether or not you have IC, it shouldn't do any harm and just might help. You'll find the latest food list at the link in my signature below.

I hope you get some answers soon. Not knowing isn't fun at all.

        Sending gentle hugs,
        Donna

            hi! greeneyes
thank you so much for your post.

            >it takes years to get a diagnosis.

it's must be hard to not to know what's going on.
to me what diffuclut is that I don't know what's cause the pain.

            >I too have microscopic blood in my urine every time I see my uro,

me too. my uro sent my urine to big lab to find out where the blood from?
result is it's from Kidney. not bladder . so he told me to see kidney specialist.
but once....my kidney is normal and healthy. even blood test result # is
            very good #.

thank you very much for your post.

              >First of all, uterine fibroids usually begin to shrink at around your age --- so unless they are really bothering you I wouldn't worry about them.

my Dr told me that see if it's grow more or shrink,
also he think that the fibroid doesn't cause the pain.
              I personaly don't want to surgery...scarry...

              >You might want to consider the possibility that your burning is a "contact" irritation caused by anything from soap to toilet tissue. I had use steroid cream , also anti fungi cream etc
also I have changed soap /towl/ toilet tissue
I've been trying whatever I can think..but the pain is not gone.

I've had microscopic blood in my urine for about 20 years now. Has never gotten any worse and has always stayed about the same amount. No kidney stones or disease were ever found, so my uro has labeled it idiopathic (not from disease and no known cause). You could try rinsing off after you urinate to prevent the irritated skin from getting more irritated from the urine. I found pure vitamin E oil to really help my skin in this area when it's irritated.

my Kidney specialist is saying same thing.
however my blood was +3 ( usual +2 ) last month also I had pain at my right side of waist. it was not the big pain me to rush to ER, but enough pain to
                  see primary Dr asap.

I had some tests done years ago for kidney function etc. but nothing was found to explain the microscopic blood. I rarely think about it anymore until the uro says "yep, it's still there." I say "ok."
