  • In need of advice

I'm new to this and I'm having trouble figuring out where to post my question.
I am having all the same symptons as many of you. I though I had a bladder infection only to have negative results, of course after taking 3 different antibiotics. Had a pelvic ultrasound nothing, contrast bladder x-ray all nothing. Whn I have suggest IC I was told I would never be able to hold as much fluid as during the bladder x-ray. What they don't seem to get is that is not always the case sometimes all I ever do is pee especially after intercourse but because it's not all the time it can't be IC. I feel like I'm losing my mind and grasping at straws. I'm afraid to get another opinion because I think they are going to say the something. I just don't know what to do!

Even though most IC bladders have reduced capacity, a normal, or larger than normal bladder does not rule it out. One thing you might do is to keep a voiding diary, noting times and amounts urinated, and take that with you to your next uro appointment. You could also give the IC diet a try. Some of us find that helps more than anything. You'll find the latest food list at the link in my signature below.

If youre not getting adequate and satisfying answers from your current Dr by all means seek another opinion.
Whether you have IC or not is irrelevant at this point; you're obviously suffering and you deserve answers.

        Wishing you well.
