Back after 3 years and smacking myself in the forehead!

Hi all! I was diagnosed with IC almost 3 1/2 years ago via cystoscopy. After a few months of Elmiron and doing away with all teas, soda, drink mixes, etc., I went into remission. BUT the bad habits slowly crept back in, and soon I was drinking Diet Coke hand over fist. So here we are again! The pain isn't as acute this time (last time it was more urgency and UTI-like). Now it's more like bladder pressure and overall pelvic/lower-back discomfort. I'm hoping that prelief and drinking H20 will help since my Uro's office just told me about the Elmiron shortage! Why oh why did I let myself get back to this point? Everyone here is so wonderful and supportive that, even though I'm not glad to be dealing with this again, I'm glad to be among such kind and helpful folks.
