  • Question about osteoporosis drugs and IC

I've had IC for 24 years and now have to start taking a drug for osteoporosis. My bladder is very sensitive to many medications and want to know if anyone has had any success with either the pill form or the infusions/injections used to treat osteoporosis.

At least some of the osteoperosis drugs are taken only once a month. Before the osteo medications were developed, we had an aunt with osteoperosis --- I promise you that you don't want it. She actually fractured ribs turning over in bed.

Even if the monthly pill causes a flare for a few days, I would encourage you to go for it. I have absolutely no idea how an IC bladder might react, but I have seen osteo.

    Sending encouraging hugs,
