I read somewhere that bedwetting can be caused by a food allergy. Try taking her off milk and any products with milk or casein or whey.

I would also make sure she is drinking enough water. I have a tendency to not drink as much so that I am not going to the bathroom all the time but it does help in the long run to drink more water.

Good luck.

It's not at all unusual for a child to wet the bed at age four, or even older --- it doesn't necessarily mean bladder problems. I have one nephew who was a bed wetter until he was almost ten. He's nearing middle age now and no bladder problems so far.

It's also not unusual for a child to have UTI's --- if they become frequent, however, it's a good idea to see if you can find the reason. If you're concerned, I do suggest you discuss it with your pediatrician.

We have a tendency to look for IC in our children --- and we sometimes will become very concerned about something any mother with no IC wouldn't think twice about.

Sending a warm hug,
Donna

Hi unicornsintherain. I watch my two girls too as i am very afraid that they too will develop urinary problems and god forbid IC. <img src="graemlins/eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> I think you are doing everything possible for your children. bu not sitting them in bubble baths, or teacing your girls to wipe from front to back after using the bathroom, as far as symptoms, I think that if they have a problem, and their old enough to tell you I hope that they would. but i would watch to see how often they go pee, or just ask, does your tummy hurt or does it hurt to pee? I know if my girls would ever have problems i would make sure to get them to their doctor quick. I hope this helps, i wasnt quite sure what to say.
