  • Using Protection

I was diagnosed with this when I was 6 or 7 and used disposable underwear when in challenging situations where a bathroom was not nearby. While not incontinent in the same way as many others with the amount of false alarms protection gave me some peace of mind that even if an accident happens that it would not be embarrassing. With IC at least large amounts do not come out at one time. I used Good Nites day during the day when away from a place to use the bathroom and at night till I began to wet more often in the course of the night. I then used diapers at night. I know this does not cure the problem but helps in cases of emergencies.

Please be sure your doctor is aware that you have incontinence. It is not usualy a part of IC and could be helped.

    Warm hugs,

      Hi,

Good tip Chris. From my understanding, incontinence is not all that unusual with children and IC...it's interesting how IC can be different when seen in a child.
