  • so excited but so overwhelmed!!

    Hi!
On June 16 i'll graduate and i'll have an Associates in Psychology!!! (oh, and i just got a letter saying i made it on the dean's list! woohoo!)
and in the fall i'm starting Nursing at a new college.

I'm really really excited BUT i'm so overwhelmed because the new school i'm going to this fall is far more expensive than the community college i'm at now. And all this trying to get scholarships is too much. There are some where they want you to write essays, and i dont' have time for that. And the topics they want are really not easy for me. One of my strong points is in writing, but i can't write an essay on war and economics. NOT my subject. I'd just have to pull something out of my A## so i might as well not even write it.

    UGHHHHH!!!!!

well, i'll go stress somewhere else now before i keep rambling!!!

Congrats on graduating. I just graduated myself from nursing school. I'm gearing up for those state boards. Just a warning nursing school is tough but it's all worth it. I got my BSN and right in the middle got IC so talk about a pain in the *** , but I wanted it for my kids and I made it. You'll make it to, if you concentrate and work hard you'll succeed. Do you qualify for financil aid? i did my last year and it was so much help. There is also student loans, I know you probably don't want to be in dbt but I looked at it like I'll graduate get a job and worry about it then I have my kids to worry about now. I did some clinicals in psych nursing and it is so cool. I'm in med/surg myself but the psych part is fascinating. I may try that later on. Good Luck and don't ever give up. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Congratulations! That is a huge accomplishment & then to make the Dean's List to top it off. You should be very proud of yourself!! It sounds to me like I bet you could write a great essay if you set your mind to it. You sound like a very motived intelligent person.
              Best of luck to you!
