  • survived midterms!

This week blew! I had three midterms and a paper, but I survived! Go me! But getting through this week was really tough. I guess because of all the stress, my symptoms were much worse. I usually only need to get up 3-4 times a night, but all week, I had to get up at least 8 times a night, which means I was exhausted by my last midterm. So, I don't think I did so great on it, but oh well. I think I did pretty well on my other two midterms though. My paper, which was due on the same day as my last midterm, was totally on crack! I was too tired to make a coherent argument, but my professor said that he drops our lowest paper grade, so I guess that will be the one that'll be dropped for me.
I used to be such a perfectionist, so it frustrates me a little to know that my work isn't as good as it could be, but I guess I should really get over it. My health and sanity come first!
So how is everyone doing? Anybody else with midterms coming up soon?

Congrats on getting through, Jen. My IC came on back in '98 when I was a junior at Ohio State University. Never felt so darn proud when I graduated, in spite of IC. What a victory! I know it's tough sometimes. I'm a perfectionist too. One thing IC does for us is teach us to put other things in perspective. (I know - like we wanted THAT life lesson, right?!?)

Hang in there and give yourself a much deserved rest. You earned it!

That's great to hear that you survived moonstar!!!!! I can understand how hard it is to go through university with IC, I got diagnosed during my 3rd year. But...I did eventually graduate (after taking a little time off to recover from the cystoscopy/dialation), and so will you!!!!! Hang in there, you're doing a great job! And don't forget we're all here to support you!

        Love and hugs,
