Hi Grinch, I am so sorry you feel so overwhelmed. Alexa is right. You have to sit and make an outline first and tackle one thing at a time.

Your post actaully is a good a start. Those forms--mail them out tomorrow. Stick on a couple of extra stamps for good measure and if you're mailing within your state, they should arrive 24 to 48 hrs.Marking those 3 papers and 3 exams on your calendar may give you a better visual of your time frames.

This sort of thing happens with me at work too, too many things to schedule and not enough time, adn its easy for me to get crazy and freak out. :::Sigh::::: It's like everybody needed their stuff yesterday.

And you know....you can only do the best you can and nothing more.
Is there anyway any of us can help with anything???? Let us know, maybe we can do something.

Hugs,
y.

Dear Grinch,

First of all, I'm sending you HUGE hugs and lots of positive, wonderful thoughts to get you through this!!!!!!!

((((((((((((((((Grinch))))))))))))))))))))

Now, you are absolutely right....you need to take a step back and breathe or you'll get sick. I know what a frustrating combination college and IC are, and I know how strong and courageous you must be even to have gotten to this point! I have gone through 2 degrees with IC and I know it can be done. And you WILL succeed because we are all here to support you and keep you going!

The more you THINK about how much crap you do, the more anxious you will become. Before you even begin doing all your assignments, you need to pioritize your assignments and exams by due date and size. Make a study plan. And then just start with number one and keep ticking them off as you go through your list. I have found that if I actually have a visual representation of the work I need to do (such as on a calendar) I can organize myself better.

But at the top of your list should be taking care of yourself. After you're good to yourself and stop freaking out, you can start accomplishing everything on your list. Take a warm bath, have a healthy, nutritious IC-safe meal, have a cup of herbal tea which you can tolerate and get yourself calm. Then start figuring out your priorities and making your "to do" list, complete with due dates.

Don't forget we're all here for you. School is hard enough without IC, but it shows how amazing and dedicated you are to be juggling school and your health issues. Good luck and email me if you need anything! [email protected]

Take care,
Alexa

Freaking out

I am really freaking out. I am so amxious I can feel my body twitching. I have so much crap to do. i have no energy, desire or motivation to do any of it. I feel like the next person that says something to me I am going to flip out on. I have three papers and three exams to go. I have a meeting that I absolutely cannot miss but absolutely do not want to go to. On top of that iI just realized that I forgot to mail the forms for my scholarship renewal which means i might not get the money next year. I am trying to tell myself to calm down and breathe before I make myself sick, but it is not working. I am ready to quit and go home. I want to say the hell with it all. I hate Finals.
