  • I HAVE GRADUATED.

    Hello,

I have graduated from school. I am now a RN. I had my pinning ceremony and graduation. i did not even think about my bladder and the 2 days sailed by with no problem. I am now going to interviews for a job. It seems my bladder doesn't bother my as much when I don't think about about it. Any one else like that? Good Luck to all.

Congratulations on your pinning Kenzy! It must feel great to have this accomplishment!

If I tend to keep busy, I notice my symptoms less when they are acting up if it's not severe. I'm sure you were excited and happy, and maybe the release of endorphins helped make you feel better. In any case, enjoy it!

      Thanks poetgirl,

I feel like there is hope. I feel like we can beat IC. I know when I have a flare I need to stop and rest for awhile, and I do. That's my way of not letting IC win. I am still in a minor flare but I feel good. Today I'm happy to be alive.

      Thanks,
      Kenzy

        Hi Kenzy,

I guess you all were ducking some of those tornadoes, huh? We were under a tornado watch for a while but all we got is some thunderstorms, the usual.

A mostly flare-free day is a good one. I started doing yoga and it seems to be helping.

          Congratulations!!!!!!!!

I know how hard school is anyway, despite the added stress of IC! This is a great accomplishment! Now go spread the word about IC in the medical community! wink

              Poetgirl,

Yea, it has been raining and storming here for like 2 days. I moved back to Tazewell with my parents. Hubby drives a truck and since school is out I need the company. Glad I wasn't in Nashville, that would have been a little to close.

              Alexa,

That is plan, I'm going to make sure every nurse and doctor I know knows about IC as well as every patient with IC symptoms getting treated for UTI's. They say we all have a purpose, maybe that is mine.

                Kenzy,

Even the rain here in Atlanta has been ridiculous although at least we are spared the most severe aspects of these storms (the rest of you to the west of us seem to get it instead...sorry!)

It seems like patients definitely need to be advocates in their health care because most doctors just don't have the time or energy for it, even if they do care.

{{{{Kenzy}}}}}My daughter graduated today and her pinning is on Friday You'd better believe that this very very proud mom will be there early enough to get a front row seat

And, she will also make sure that dr's and nurse's are educated on this horrific disease....She has seen all that it's sucked from me and if she can help just one person, I will know that my suffering hasn't been a waste.

                    YOU GO GIRL

                          CONGRATS GIRL YOU MADE ITTT!!!!!!

From one RN to another, I know what youve been through wink your about to make a difference in tons of peoples lives, and Im sure you already have. You'll get snatched up in NO time for a job, if not, just come up east!!

If I remember correctly, my pinning ceremony I was fine as well. It might have something to do with the release of endorphins. Hmmmm. Interesting thought, whoever that was. Although I WILL tell you that after a not-so-bad-for-IC summer, the night before my NCLEX exam I was MISSSSSERable!! So endorphins or stress, the mind has an amazing affect.

I know what you are feeling Kenzy. I sooo sometimes feel like we can beat it too. Ive told many people Im determined too. Then I will get a bad day outta nowhere. Oh well- and if I do beat it, you'll all be the first to know......if you'll do, likewise hahahah. GOOD LUCK with everything. Take small steps enjoying each and every one ! hi

Big big hugs on your special day, kissing

                            Hey,

I had 3 job interviews today at the same hospital just different units. They all look promising and they all said they would be calling as soon as my papers got to the resource office. I hope one does or maybe all. Which one will i pick???? It feels good to have people calling you for a job. My flare is getting better and next week when I start my treatments again I'll make sure it goes away.

                            Rachel,
I've taken a weekend breather but I am starting to study for the Nclex, I have 2 3 years of info to go over. My only problem now is these damn headaches. My mom sayd it tension and stress, I guess my endorphins went back into hiding. To bad we all can't have sex alot, that also releases endorphins and if I remember correctly it's funner than exercise....at least it used to be. HAHAHAHAHA lmao

                            Love,
                            Kenzy

Let us know how the interviews go! Got my fingers crossed for ya!

Sigh...I remember the days of strictly endorphin-releasing sex before IC and vulvodynia. Life was good then and I didn't even know it.
