  • College Student Wondering...

Hi - I am a college student who has lived with IC since I was 13. My questions aren't serious ones: I've noticed on some of the posts an IC awareness ribbon is pictured and I was wondering if you could buy one somewhere? I was also wondering if there was an IC awareness day? I was also wondering if there is anyway a person can get active in spreading the word about IC or supported IC research? Thanks!

WONDERFUL website, LeeLee!! Thank you so much!! I am looking at it right now!!

I also love the quote that you have on your signature that starts with "If God brings you to it, He will get you through it." I am spent so many days praying. One thing that really developed from my IC was my faith, and I am ever grateful for that.

      Thanks again!!

          to the ICN apommer...

I too love the quote that leelee uses. It gives me a lot of comfort whenever I see her posts.

I have posted this before, but thought you might like to see it.

          Thoughts for the Day:

If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every Spring.

He send you a sunrise every morning.

Face it, friend. He is crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain.

But He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

          Sharon

Shopping??? Did someone mention shopping? I'll get my hat... ;-)

Where I can be found most days.

              Hey apommer!

I've found a good way to start awareness around me is to wear t-shirts/sweatshirts with sayings on them about IC. I'm actually really found of the "But you don't look sick" website and their products as well (http://www.cafepress.com/bydls). I wear the tank and people are constantly asking about it :]

23, symptoms for 9 years, severe for 7.5. Diagnosed for 6.

sharonA - I have the "god didn't promise days without rain..." quote on my fridge. What a coincidence!!

Thanks everyone! It's so hard to be sick and have to explain to everyone what you have and get the blank stare when you tell them it's IC. Even when I give a medical history most doctors don't know what I'm talking about.

                Thanks again!!
