  • Going away to college with IC

Hello! I was recently diagnoses with IC a week ago after 5 months of what Drs thought to be a reoccuring UTI. I stayed home from college due to this, but am now ready to venture and go away for school. My question is, what is safe in a dining hall and what packaged/canned foods are okay? There's an Acme close by so I plan on stopping there a lot to get fresh produce. My IC flares at any spicy, citrus, soy, and dairy! Thank you so much!!!

Is there a specific ingredient in them that keeps freshness of sorts that bothers you?

There's a link to diet information in m signature below. You might want to make an appointment with the disabilities office on campus about a solution for you --- also try communicating with people preparing the food --- I strongly suspect they will be willing to work with you to help keep your symptoms under control so you can concentrate on an education.

        Sending gentle hugs,

I am quite sensative to sky and preservatives, not even one is though so as Donna suggested start with the diet here and see how it goes
