    Newly diagnosed

    I am 16 and have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome, and was diagnosed today with interstitial cystitis after a cystoscopy and hydrodistension. If anyone is interested in talking, my e-mail is [email protected]

      Hi Amanda. I am not a teen, I have three teens and I have had IC since I was 15 or 16. I did not get diagnosed until 1998 though. I want to welcome you and you may write to me at any time at [email protected]. I am the moderator of this board and I also correspond regularly with another teen who has been diagnosed with a similar syndrome, but not IC.

          I have had IC since before high school, and I fully understand what high school is like with IC. If you ever need to talk, you can find me here......or at [email protected]

          I also have some stratiges to help you deal with your IC with minumial disruption to your classes......so if you want my ideas just ask. I am sorry that you have this, but you have come to the right place to find support. Lisa

                  How did the hydro go? I have so much in common with you, I have had IC since I was 16 and in high shcool. I graduated in 99 and was forced to drop out of college this past year. my e-mail is [email protected]
