  • TO DERRICK (ERECTION PROBLEMS)

    Hi Derrick
You responde to my message almost a year ago about having Ic and erection problems. I just wanted to get in touch with you to see how the situation is. In my case it is pretty much the same, viagra usually help me but not always. I have also tried some natural remedies like arginine, and Ginko Niloba all without success. My doctor also cannot expalin why I have ED along. He says that there is no medical explanation for Ed along with IC. Anyway if you read my message I hope you you can drop a line.
I really hope your situation has improved and that you can share your success with me, but maby this is just in my dreams. I am not sure how much more of this I can take. Being 25 and having ed is a nightmare for every man I think. And here I am expereincing this in real life. That sucks man...

Well, I am not Derrick, nor am I a Man.... but anyway, maybe I could give you some advice and compfort.
I don't know what it is like 2 B a man and have ED.
But I can only imagine what you must B going through.
Having IC is no fun... male or female, when I was firet DX, I was scarred 2 say the least.... and sex was the last thing on my mind, sooo I can only imagine, what kind of impact this must have on a guy !!
I can't believe anyone saying that ED and IC don't go hand in hand in a male, I mean it is very clear that this deases ( sp ) has an
" EMOTIONAL impact " on anyone who suffers from it.
PLEASE HANG IN THERE AND MAYBE EVEN GET A SECOND OPINION grouphug
I promise not to laugh... if you promise not to cry

      Hi Martin,

I am a man with IC. When I first started dating my wife two years ago, I also has ED. I used Viagra and founded that it worked.

I am now married and the ED is gone. However, I find that I cannot use condoms. If I do ED is back. Also, when I am in pain during IC flares, I have ED.

For me, a lot of it seems to be pyschological, basically it is very hard to be excited if you are in constant pain. Having found a treatment course that works for me so far (see my other post on successful treatment), the ED has pretty much disappeared.

Do you us a condom? If so, that may be contributing to the problem. The combination of bladder uncomfort and pressure on the penis was not a good combination for me.

      Hope this helps somewhat.
