Hi Everyone,
This is the first time I have used this board so I'll introduce myself.
My name is Mike, and am a 67 year old male who has been battling i.c. for the past 5years. Like most of you I have tried just about everything with very little effect on the pain and frequency etc. At the momentI am into my second Interstim trial. The first time a single wire was used but this time two wires are fitted and I have a duel control. I would dearly love to hear from anyone who has had a trial, successful or not to be sure that what I am experiencing is the normal thing and the same as others found. Some things I'd like to know........should the stimulation be felt at the site of the pain i.e.Bladder. Should I feel an improvement straight away, or is it a gradual thing. Does the intensity setting make a big difference to the result. These are all questions you probably think I should be asking my uro.but I would like to know from those who have been through the experience as I dearly hope that this will succeed, but as yet I've not seen any change and I want to make sure that that I do everything I can to give it my best shot. I've got four days left of the trial and would appreciate any helpfull comments from anyone before I see my uro again.
