Surprise surprise?! These actually seem to work.
I"m to tired to write a lot here now but for those interested in trying these, and if Cystoprotek and other similar things haven't done ANYTHING give these a go.
Basically my urinary pain is the only symptom of IC, but it can be maddening if I trigger it and flares are also terrible too. Nothing except drinking a lot of water has prevented the urinary burning from occurring.
I decided since everything else has failed to try D Mannose with Marshmallow Tea, and you know what? It kinda worked the first week. Then when I changed the dose of D Mannose from 500MG 2x a day to 1000 MG 2x a day my pain dramatically decreased. It was pretty stunning to feel real results.
So far I'm sticking to this by drinking 1 cup of tea before bed, one in the morning, and taking the D Mannose 1x500MG morning 1x500MG afternoon. My pains basically much lessoned than in the past.
Even without drinking tons of water the pain is very low compared to before starting these two things. And I only began the tea later but noticed results with JUST the D Mannose.
My plan is to continue this for awhile and see how it goes. The pains not GONE because things still trigger it but it's less and I feel almost normal sometimes.
Frankly I don't care why it seems to work, it definitely helps. I plan to continue the marshmallow tea indefinitely when I feel ready to get off D Mannose.
