  • I need some opinions of my coexisting conditions

    Hi
Really need opinion from male IC and IBS patients. I was diagnosed of IBS 4 years back and IC like 3 yrs back, though till date don't have any common IC symptoms. Only things that has worsened is something called PFD. Anytime I sit, I have to keep my muscle tight or spasmtic state. Even food triggers are effect those symptoms only. My biofeedback is ok but still have issues like stress incontinence, leakage upon sitting on hard chairs. It feels no pain but pressure in muscles. It is effecting my work beyond limits and not sure where to go for this like Acupuncture, TCM etc?. Is diagnosis really important in my case as I keep hearing of things like prostatodynia, OAB, PNE ?.Just curious to know what exactly makes IBS/IC incurable, poor immunity causing depletion of bladder linning or any allergy?.

On foods & medication side what should be definitely part of plan if IBS and OFd are important issues like anti histamines, anti anxiety, supplements ?. Baking soda makes my stomach still and more PFD. On the flour side can someone suggest me how to make good multigrain flour, while retaining its elasticity but without wheat and gluten, as i think wheat really is making again IBS worst. Also how about green tea, if not any other tea

I don't think you can make a multigrain flour without gluten.

Green tea has lots of caffine and is a no no for me.

      good luck mg

        Hi Steve,

I'd like to be helpful. I'm a man with IC, back pain, chronic pelvic pain, and fibromyalgia. From your post, I can't understand exactly what your issues are. Please don't take this the wrong way, but can you be thorough, and more clear? When you write "I have to keep my muscle tight or spasmtic state", I can't follow your meaning. When you refer to "pressure in muscles", which muscles are those?

This is such a damnably difficult disease to diagnose, let alone treat, that I've found getting as much clarity as we possibly can is essential to getting the help we desperately need.

Best wishes, and good luck to you,
        ark

          to the IC Network.

The PFD you mention means pelvic floor dysfunction --- there are at least several members here who are finding that physical therapy can help. It might be worth a try for you.

          Sending healing thoughts your way,
          Donna
