  • Physical Therapy was my answer!

I was diagnosed with IC after a really bad UTI. I had constant pain and urgency and burning and I had every test run on me and they couldn’t find any other answer but IC. They recommended PT and I was willing to try anything. My physical therapist was amazing and after showing me exercises to relax my pelvic floor muscles (I had about 3 months of PT) I have felt completely normal for the last 8 months. I got my life back! So if you are skeptical about trying PT please give it a chance because I was at my lowest point, just wanted to die I was in so much constant pain and it completely brought me back to my normal life.

What kind of PT did you have? Would you be specific? Thanks

Glad to hear another success story. This IC can be so overwhelming and difficult to tease apart, yet once you find what works for you things can get much better. That's how it went for me anyway once I got correctly diagnosed and treated.
