I have PFD and IC and have horrible vaginal pain some days. The PFD pain usually feels like an ache, almost like something very large and heavy is "parked" between my legs. I also have very sharp, shooting vaginal pains that can hurt so bad I have to lie down. My Urologist's nurse said that bladder spams can feel like that and Ditropan does help to prevent and relieve my sharp vaginal pains.
    Hope you find relief soon!

It does sound a lot like VV, but another thing to consider and ask your doctor about is pelvic floor dysfunction. PFD can be the cause of urethral and vaginal pain. PT by a physical therapist knowledgeable and experienced in treating PFD can be quite helpful.

Hey Alina... Yes, my pain was also internal... Have you talked to your gyn? He or she can do some test to see if it is vulvar vestibulitus... good luck, I can sympathize with your pain. keep in touch and let me know your progress.. God Bless

One thing you might consider is changing birth control meds to see if that helps.

    Hello

Yes this is called vulvodyina which I have suffered with for two years. Its linked with IC and very common and I have these same symptoms which you have.
You will have to see a vulval specialist or gynocologist to be diagnosed but you are not alone!
I have this same burning pain which sometime is so bad I lie on the floor screaming. I once had pain so bad in my clitoris I had to have morphine, ouch it was painful!

Once you have been diagnosed you will feel better. Check out the thread on vulvodyina you will find lots of information and support on here.

    good luck and welcome

p.s any questions you have on vulvodyina please feel free to PM mex

    vaginal pain

When my ic really hit the roof after years of smaller incidences, I noticed the clitoral and vaginal pain. A co-worker (who had lots of bacterial bladder infections) mentioned "parsley tea" - which I made and drank a bunch of that's when I noticed the pain you mentioned.
Low and behold, I couldn't even wear pants due to the pain. I believe it was partly due to a high oxilate level (found in parsley) plus pelvic floor dysfunction. Maybe a low oxilate diet would help? Good luck.

hey alina... I too have experience pain in the vagina

Hey there... You are not alone... After being newly diagonsed with I.C. I explained to the doctor about the pain I would have in my vagina also. It's not always just my bladder, but sometimes just the vagina or in both areas. He diagnosed me with Vulvar Vestibulitus, that was causing the pain in my vagina. Peeing was miserable and sex was out of the question for quite some time... I have to use Ivory (plain white) bar soap down there, I have to wash my panties in All Clear-perfume free detergent, we can not use condoms as it irritates me, and I take warm sitz baths when flared up and it relieves the pain. Now, I am proud to say, I have this under control and I am freely having enjoyable sex with my husband thanks to lots of lubricant. I am careful with the products I use that my vagina comes in contact with...Hope this helps... God Bless
