  • question about rating

Hello I was just wondering the rating scale that Dr.s use for IC. I just had another hydro and the Dr has rated the IC at a 3. Is this scale 1-5 or 1-10 I have looked on line and one site says a uro uses 1-3 and a-c 1a being mild and 3c being severe, but that is all I could find. Hoping someone here can shed some light on my 3.

    Thanks

I've honestly never heard of a numerical rating for IC before. It might just be something your doctor does for himself, to rate the severity of his patients. I'd ask him what his scale is based on.
    *IC-- Summer 2004; PFD--October 2005
    *Fibro--Fall 2000; CFS-- Fall 2000
    *MPS--Fall 2000; Crohn's disease-- 1997*IBS,GERD, *Migraines, hypothyroidism, GYN problems *Degenerative Disc Disease/scoliosis

    Total Abdominal Hysterectomy--adenomyosis--9\08

04/17/09 Crohn's disease almost killed me with a combo of extreme constipation from pain medications. My bowel ruptured, I almost died from peritonitis and spent several days in the ICU then more in a private room on the floor. If you have any questions about severe constipation from pain meds please don't hesitate to send me a message.

      Rating

I asked the same question on this board about 6 months ago. My uro also rated mine and said it was a national rating system on the severity of the glomerations. I was told that it was 1-5.

I also never heard of this rating scale. Maybe it is something new they started up. Hope you find out about it too.
