  • WHAT is a DMSO treatment??

Is it different than twice a week instillation treatments of Elmiron, lydacaine and the sodium something or other?

DMSO sounds scary from other posts I've read!!!!

if you go to the top and hit patient hand book, and down to treatment you will find the link.
My mom had them for years with great success, it is an instill that they put in you and you sre supposed to hold it for 20 mins. It smells like garlic, and my mom said she could taste it.

Well there you go; it has helped some people, but never me. I was made worse, so one has to make a decision after talking with their Dr, and I guess talking with the IC folks here, who have been part of this great website and know a lot about treatments and how they stack up! I can ONLY speak for myself and my feelings are biased against it.
Good wishes for whatever treatment you will go for. There is a lot of hope for sufferers; Thank GOD.
