  • Low DHEA levels and IC

I have just had my DHEA levels tested and apparently not only do I have waaay low DHEA but estrogen and testosterone as well! My doc said I have less hormoe activity than an 80 year old woman. It made me think of the article that I have read about cats with IC having abnormal adrenal gland function-and they are the glands that produce DHEA- Has anyone else had their levels checked?

My DHEA is OK, but other hormones are very low for me.

The dr my disability company sent to, suggested off the books that i have my level checked. My gyno recently ran my DHEA at last appt and it was in the high normal.

My cortisol levels on the other hand are high.

It seems like when one thing is off with the endocrine system everything gets out of wack.

I just had my DHEA checked and it is very low. I began a DHEA supplement and I think it might be flaring me. My aldosterone levels were also low so my endo put me on Aldacone (???) not sure which is flaring me.
