Welcome!!!!! This site really does help a lot, from answering questions to just letting you know that you're NOT alone. I've done so much better since joining here. I hope it helps you too. Most importantly, never give up. I truely believe that there is something out there that will help us all one day, just may take awhile (and lots of aggrivation) to find it, but it will happen.

Geez, Amy... can't take you anywhere! Even in cyberspace you manage to pee in the pool!

LOL, we count on Amy to keep things lively around here...

I HAD to! After all, do you think I'd EVER get in the bathroom with that line of ICers! Besides, it's better for your IC than that clorine!

Just want to add my to the others! I definately agree that coming here has helped me alot. I had IC for years before I had a computer and could access this site. But, I have learned so much from the gang here. Plus, there is such an incredible amount of support! I dont know how I got thru the days before I found everyone here. But, I do know that I was very isolated and depressed. Since coming here, I am no longer depressed, (and dont have to take an antideppresant any longer either! ) It has made THAT big of a difference for me!

I hope that it will make a huge difference for you too! So come on in, the water's warm...(probobly cause someone has peed in it! ....just kidding! Anyway, we are glad to have ya here!

    Hugs,
    Amy

I think with all the support here is very important. True for all the ones that are doing ok, they might not even get on the boards. ( I for the most part do pretty good on a daily basis, but get on board every day or try to anyways and help out if I can). Plus I talk to friends about this who care. I know one or 2 in my community that has IC and I have a Sister that even though she doesn't have this (she has Fibro) she understands the pain that I go thru.) My husband understands my pain-I think, but I know he gets tired of hearing me so I keep to myself for the most part when I'm around him. He helps me around the house, cooks dinner (or buys something) etc. just to help out.

The way I cope with Ic is by talking to people who understand the pain we go through on a daily basis. This site is designed for that purpose. If you ever need to vent or just would like to chat or ask questions we are always here to help and give you the support you need. Also surrounding yourself with people who care about you really helps.
Ic is hard in the beginning but it will get better. It's a matter of trial and error. Between dealing with the Ic diet or finding the right combination of medications that work for your body. Everyone is different so what works for one person might not work for another. It get's very frustraiting... as you probably already know.
Alot of us use heating pads and try to do things that take our mind off the pain. I hope you feel better soon. Hang in there. If you ever need to talk feel free to pm me!

    (huggs)
    Rachel
