  • Thank you...Thank you...

Remember me? The person who hated her bladder yesterday?

Well, I'm just writing to say thank you. Through you and this wonderful sight, I was able to figure out what was going on in my life. Since Tuesday, my world went completely out of control. I don't think I've ever been in so much pain in my life----I was shocked. I didn't get what was going on---the doctor was so vague. I was able to see, through you, that I was having a "flare" and by this afternoon, I could see I was getting it under control.

The baking soda and water was an immense help. The elimination diet is already working and I am in quite a bit more comfort today than I was yesterday. I may sleep tonight thanks to you. The heating pad was a blessing, as was drinking lots of water and flushing my system. The AXO (?)(the over the counter little red pills) have been helping too, but tonight I don't think I even need one.

Still have spasms and pain (the shooting ones are killers!) and I am still peeing much more than I ever have in my life, but I feel things calming down. Funny how suddenly tomatoes seem like little red devils sitting on my window sill! No thanks!

So, once again, thank you so much for this site and all of your support. You run a good ship here and I for one am a grateful beneficiary.

    Much Love,

    Margot

    Margot,
I'm so happy your feeling better today. This board has definitely helped me many times also. It's so nice to talk to other people who truly understand what your going through and can give you some insight into it. So I'm glad you were able to get some help and some relief. And I know what you mean about the tomatoes, now when I look at acidy foods, my mind instantly says, OUCH, PAIN, NO WAY. I hope you continue to feel better.

I'm 47 years old, married 27 years. I have two wonderful boys and two wonderful grandchildren. I was diagnosed in 1994. Life has certainly thrown me many many surprises, all of which I'm trying to stay positive and hopeful, and I try to think about my blessings not my misfortunes, when possible. Stay Strong!

Glad to hear you're feeling better!

Those flares can be quite maddening; I say this as I'm sitting here at 430am wondering what has set me off.
