I'm confused! I'm sorry if I am being dumb. Azos? You mean the pill for urinary pain and frequency or is this something else? Tina

I did after many weeks looking on the internet purchase ProBio 5. This was before I started on this web site and when I received probiotic it says it contains 150 mg of vitamin c and 25 mg of vitamin B6. I know they are no-no's for IC paitients but I did not know it contained them when I purchased them so I have not taken any yet. What does everyone else take or is it o.k. to possibly take the Probio 5? Maybe they all have vitamin c and vitamin B6? Tina

Well if it is yeast you really need to get on a probiotic it helps alot..Also cutting out sugars and things with yeast will help.. Heres another suggestion you could be having an allergic reaction to yeast.. I am very allergic to yeast so when I get an infection its hard to get rid of it.. Maybe you should get an allergy test...

I have been on Diflucan pill since about January-March and I have done every cream out there. My other gynecologist did a culture. She looked under the microscope and said yeast infection and started me on a prescribed cream and then she called me when the culture came back and said it was not yeast and I said if it is not that then what is it. She did not know and it was tested for other things too like BV, trich, etc. My current urogynecologist I am going to looked under a microscope and said yeast and I told her what the other one said and she said yeast is yeast and the tests do not always come out positive because they are not testing for all the yeast out there. Since my 2 months with her with this problem and IC I have tried almost everything. I am desperate to be half decent for vacation so I am going to contact her tomorrow and beg for more boric acid suppositories at least for vacation. They seemed to hold it back 80%.

What does your doctor recommend? They really should be doing a culture and sensitivity to be certain you are on the correct medication for the specific organism you have.

Well first of all you should really go get azo for yeast or any probotic would be good thats just what I use.. Another thing is to do a yeast detox.. That is where you stay away from anything that has yeast in it and sugar...Try this for at least a week and I know that over the counter yeast medicine really irratates me down there makes me feel like im on fire so I take a presrciption of Diflocan..Also stay away from baths for now..Another good thing is yogurt if you like yogurt it really helps fight yeast..Hope this helps.. Good luck

Chronic yeast infection! What should I do?

Hi everybody! I need help. I don't know if this has anything to do with my IC but I have had a chronic yeast infection since January. I have tried everything out there. The only thing that remotely touched the vaginal burning was boric acid capsules and 3 days after I went off them I am getting the white discharge and burning back. Does anybody have any suggestions of where to go next? I was thinking about trying something I see on the internet like Candisil or another herbal one that says it will work. What do you guys think? I need something fast! I leave for Las Vegas on Sunday. Thanks, Tina
