    Sitting on a tennis ball

    I have this sensation 3/4 of the day. I feel like I am sitting on a tennis ball. Originally I thought I had something wrong with my cervix because it felt like it was swollen. Of course my gyno gave me a trans vaginal and told me I was fine. He was one of my 7 visits before a urologist visit ( only one) told me she believes I have IC. I just cannot believe how little is known about this that my internist and gyno had no clue. I guess I will have to educate them.

    The reason I started this thread is because I was hoping to gather as much info as possible into one thread. I have read on this site that some people have this experience. Any thoughts would be so helpful. Some people have mentioned PFD and some prolapsed uterus? I'm brand new to this entire thing and desperate for any information. This site is amazing and a wealth of information. Thank you!
    Diagnosed May 2007
    Currently Taking:
    Urelle as needed for urgency/burning
    Elmiron 100 mg 2x a day
    Omacor 1 gm. 1x a day (to lower my Triglycerides)
    Lipitor 10 mg.

    almost forgot.....I'm ing for a miracle all day long ......

    When I was first dg with IC I felt like my bladder was falling out.. I think this is caused by all the inflamation..I have heard to that alot of IC patience have this same problem at times...

    Meds For IC: Lyrica-25mg Glucosamine-500 MSM-500mg, Prosed Ds -When Flaring

    Other Meds: Levlite- Continious Birtcontrol, Micardis-40mg for High Blood Pressure

    Meds I have Tried:
    Topamax,Tofranil, Elmiron, Atarax, Cymbalta, Elavil, Enablex, Detral La, Prydium.
    Lexapro< Bad reaction to this med!
    Intstills, could not continue them due to some kind of reaction after 3rd instill. Tasted the lidocaine in my mouth, tongue and lips went numb then went into what seemed like a panic attack. Shaking, racing heart, tingling face/head, blood pressure shot up..

    Dx With IC in Nov 2006 with Hydro/Cysto
    Hydro/Cysto Caused Bladder to Rupture.

    Other Dxs-Vulvodynia,Fibro, Endo, IBS, HPV, Migraines, Spastic Colon, Mild Dysplasia.

      Hi JCDC,

      Ever been checked for a rectocele or cytocele??

      IC symptoms differ from one person to the next - there are many times something else is going on as well.

        I used to feel as if my pelvic floor was being sucked up into my body -disappearing. I found out I had vaginal atrophy.

          Thank you...this is all very good information. I am going to discuss these with my urologist on 6/8. I also have to make an appointment for a Pelvic CT scan because I have other pain in my abdomen and right side. I had my g/b removed last year.

            I have a feeling of pressure in my rectum area, I told this to my uro and my gyne, they found some "abnormal blood vessels" in my vagina up near the cervix. They say it could be causing the pressure feeling in my rectum, since the rectum is on the otherside where these blood vessels are, or it could be my bladder. I am going for a colonoscopy to rule out anything there. Does anyone else have this pressure feeling in their rectum.
