I just found this web site and have been reading all the info but I still need to ask something. Does IC make your groin area hurt especially when you walk? Also, does this make you have a low grade fever? I have been in and out of Doctors offices for years and it all comes down to Fibro, CFS, IC, TMJ, etc. Thanks!

Sometimes I have groin pain but not very often.
As for the low grade fever. The day that I had my in office cysto to rule our cancer they took my temp and I had a low grade fever. The nurse freaked out because I told her I had flared the day before and she thought maybe I had an infection. If that were the case they weren't going to do the cysto which would have sucked because I had already taken the day off work. My uro checked a urine sample and there was no sign of infection so they did the in office cysto. I still have no idea why I was running a fever, I wasn't sick. Maybe it is related to the IC.Christine
I have been diagnoised for 6 1/2 years now. I have taken a long break from the ICN but really miss helping out my fellow IC patients and want to get back into posting.
1st hydro 4/07 showed no visible signs of IC but tons of mast cells in all my biopsy samples which did prove IC.
2nd hydro 4/13/09 showed dark purple glomerulations and I had a capacity of 450 cc's. This hydro proved that my IC had progressed.
I have tried every oral medication as well as rescue instills and DMSO.
I have been lucky enough to see Dr Hanno, the top IC specialist in PA who has told me due to the fact that I have not responded to any "standard" treatments that I have a severe, end stage case of IC with a horrible quality of life (didn't have to tell me that last part!)

Yes, during my worst flares, I feel sick, I have a low-grade fever, I lose my appetite, experience nausea, have horrible burning pain in the pelvic region day and night and, as of the last urine culture & sensitivity during all this: negative??? See my prior thread:
Go figure?! There is no way I will believe that I am okay and "healthy" during one of these attacks no matter what the test says. Luckily, in this last case, I forced the issue with my doc because it was before a holiday weekend and I couldn't stand the thought of being that sick. He gave me 5 days worth of septra DS twice a day (antibiotic), which helped me get through. BTW, as soon as I stop the med, the symptoms slowly return.
I am going to see Dr. Chai at the U. of MD hospital at the end of the month, and this is one of the questions I am going to ask him:
How can I feel so sick, but the urine culture and sensitivity comes back negative? In a nutshell, I do not believe the test. That's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. As far as I'm concerned, there's much that is still unknown about this ailment.
The good news is, many people have been helped:it takes a knowledgable doctor and perseverance in finding the right treatment. I don't believe we're ever cured, but our quality of life can improve. I'm looking forward to that.
I hope you find a good doctor who's willing to work with you in improving the quality of your life.Diagnoses: Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (2012),Interstitial Cystitis (2003), Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia (2003), GERD (since ?), IBS (since ?), Low Blood Volume (2006), Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth (2007)

A combination of pain and anxiety can cause a low grade fever. Pelvic pain can absolutely be a part of IC. If the leg pain is something new, it should be checked out to be sure there isn't something else going on.
