  • UTI or Major Flare?

I recently came out of remission in September 2010 and have not had a major flare until recently.

It burns and HURTS at the end of peeing and i constantly hve that burning feeling. The initial pain came after pizza, a margarita, and something else. So idk if its a major flare or a UTI.

Oh, and i have no insurance until February.

You could pick up a UTI test kit to check --- and if the test says infection, you really need to see a doctor.

You can buy those Azo test strips at walgreens that give you a quick read. I had alot of symptoms recently myself, worse then normal frequency and having my urine just stop mid stream which I think was from inflammation. I used the strip and had the leukocytes in my urine (white blood cells) but not the red blood cells. I couldn't get to the doctor because I was spending the entire next day in the city. My doctor prescribes me macrobid to take after sex so I started a 3 day course of those and feel MUCH better. You wouldn't want to put it off, have an infection going and have it spread to your kidneys so I'd say at least try those.
